The Eden Valley "Mini" Express 2 Day Trail Ride for Experienced Riders

Our Eden Valley "Mini" Express Trail Ride is ideal for experienced adult riders and is our popular 2 day version of our week long Eden Valley Express trail ride. This ride is aimed at experienced riders looking for a high quality weekend riding break and if you are keen to extend your break you can book a third day of riding. Our 2 day ride follows a circular route from our centre near Ravenstonedale to Crosby Garrett where the horses rest overnight. We have included the best bridleways which include superb riding through the Howgill fells and the Smardale Valley which offer some fabulous long canter stretches and wonderful scenery and picnic lunch stops on both days. On the extra day ( Friday ) we ride a circular route in the opposite direction through the Mallerstang valley and enjoy a pub lunch in a country Inn.

The Mallerstang Valley 2 Day Trail Ride

The Mallerstang Valley connects Cumbria with the Yorkshire Dales and has been described as being "hauntingly beautiful" and one the few remaining places in the UK where time appears to have stood still. On day one we leave our centre and within minutes we join the Pennine Bridleway which leads us up and over Wild Boar fell into Mallerstang. As we head down into the valley we join the Lady Anne Way, a historic bridleway route which runs the full length of the Mallerstang valley along an old highway now a green lane which offers some wonderful canters. As we near the end of day one we cross the border into the Yorkshire Dales and rest overnight in the tiny hamlet of Garsdale. This ride is virtually off road all the way with huge skies and spectactular views offering some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the North of England. This route is undulating with some steep climbs and the going is a mixture of old green lanes and gravel paths. This ride is suitable for riders who are confident at cantering in wide open spaces, across undulating terrain and for up to 5 hours a day ( average 12 miles ). This ride is ridden at a steadier pace than our Eden Valley Mini Express.

Accommodation

Whilst we know your main interest in booking this holiday is the horse riding we also know that where you stay can have a big impact on the quality of your holiday and for this reason we are renowned for selecting well run, good quality B&B's. We personally visit every B&B we use to ensure a great standard of comfort and a warm welcome awaits you. We will confirm the accommodation before you book allowing you time to view the B&B website beforehand. Single rooms may be available and will incur a supplement which we will confirm before you book.

2 Day Trail Ride Costs

Our 2 day trail riding holidays cost £295 per person ( weekend rides ) or £265 ( mid week rides ) which includes: one night B&B in a shared ensuite room, 2 days of spectacular riding on brilliant horses and a packed lunch both days.

Not Included: Single room supplement, evening meals and drinks. Meals are available at your accommodation.

Additional nights accommodation: £40 per person
